Manchester United manager would love to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo, says Marcello Lippi

According to former Italy and Juventus coach Marcello Lippi, who is a close friend of the Scot, Ferguson harbours hopes that one day the Portugal international will play for United again.
Ronaldo was sold to Real Madrid for £80 million in the summer of 2009, but Lippi is quoted in The Sun as saying: "Sir Alex told me he would take Ronaldo back tomorrow.
"We both think he is an extraordinary striker who can start on either wing, or as the sole striker and perform brilliantly.
"But the truly remarkable thing about Cristiano is that he always scores."
Ronaldo has enjoyed a sensational season at Real, becoming the all-time La Liga record holder with 40 goals, hitting 51 in all competitions.

Cristiano at Lunch with His Son, Irina, and his Family (Picutres)

When dining with their boyfriend's parents, many women would be concerned with their manners in front of potential in-laws.
Irina Shayk clearly feels at home with her footballer beau Cristiano Ronaldo's family, as the pair got down to some serious kissing at the table during lunch in his hometown, Funchal, Madeira.
But while the gorgeous Russian model was wrapped up in her boyfriend's embrace, laying her head back and closing her eyes, Cristiano appeared a little distracted.

The Real Madrid player looked over Irina's head as the pair embraced, before pulling his head away.
Irina did not appear happy with the snub, playfully pouting and trying to pull Cristiano's face back towards her.
Their comical interaction was witnessed by the footballer's family and Cristiano's little boy Cristiano Jr, who they have been spending time with in the Ronaldo's home town on the Portugese island.

The good-looking duo are enjoying their down time, with Irina going casual and make-up free.
As an in-demand model, she spends most of her time coiffed and preened to perfection, but Irina was happy to step out in a simple white vest and jeans, with tousled, natural hair and not a scrap of make-up on her beautiful face.
Cristiano, 26, was typically decked out in designer gear in a Gucci cap.

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo enjoyed a day out in Portugal with his baby boy at the weekend.
Cristiano Jr is the spitting image of his dad with olive skin, dark hair and a high-fashion wardrobe.
Wearing a back-to-front cap, Burberry shirt and denim jacket, the 10-month-old holds was snapped holding tightly to his dad.
The father-son pair were joined byCristiano's model girlfriend Irina shayk, 25, who also appears to dote on the youngster.
Cristiano shocked the world when he announced the birth of his son online last year.
'It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy,' Cristiano, 25, wrote on his Facebook page.
'As agreed with the baby's mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship.
'No further information will be provided on this subject and I request everyone to fully respect my right to privacy (and that of the child) at least on issues as personal as these are.'

Ronaldo: I owe record to my team-mates

Cristiano Ronaldo was keen to share his success with his Real Madrid team-mates after breaking La Liga's single-season scoring record.

The Portuguese superstar struck twice in the 8-1 thrashing of Almeria to move on to 40 league goals for the campaign - two clear of the record he previously jointly held with his club's former sharpshooter Hugo Sanchez (1989/90) and the legendary Athletic Bilbao striker Telmo Zarra (1959/60).
Ronaldo's brace took his tally to 11 in his last four games and he finished 2010/11 with 53 goals in all competitions. It has been a stunning season from the world's most expensive player, who struck seven hat-tricks in total, but the 26-year-old was quick to hail the part played by his companions at Real.
"The reason I've scored so many goals is thanks to my team-mates, and I'm very grateful to them," said Ronaldo, who dedicated his first Pichichi, awarded to the Spanish top flight's leading marksman, to the rest of the Merengue squad and the fans.

"I'm generous with my team-mates because they are the same with me. Without their help I wouldn't have been able to score 40 goals in the league."
It's difficult to repeat these figures, but nothing is impossible and I'm going to continue working to achieve it.

Ronaldo's brace, combined with a hat-trick from Emmanuel Adebayor, two more from Karim Benzema and a late goal from youngster Joselu, saw Real complete their campaign with a thumping victory over relegated Almeria and finish with 102 goals in La Liga for the second successive season.
Although Los Blancos had already lost the title to Barcelona, it was an impressive way to end Jose Mourinho's first season in charge. "We are very happy to finish the season in this way," said Ronaldo, who has helped the capital outfit score 21 goals in winning their last four games.

"To score 102 goals is very difficult and I want to congratulate my team-mates for achieving that. The coach wanted us to finish the season with a lot of goals to start the next season with ambition, and we've done that."
Looking ahead, Ronaldo said of the possibility of him reaching a similar mark again: "It's difficult to repeat these figures, but nothing is impossible and I'm going to continue working to achieve it."

Cristiano Ronaldo breaks record

Cristiano Ronaldo broke the single-season Spanish top flight scoring record and Emmanuel Adebayor struck a hat-trick as Real Madrid signed off their campaign with an emphatic 8-1 win over relegated Almeria this evening.
The Portuguese superstar needed less than five minutes to get his 39th La Liga goal of the campaign, claiming the outright record that he had previously jointly held with Real Madrid's Hugo Sanchez (1989/90) and the legendary Athletic Bilbao striker Telmo Zarra (1959/60). Ronaldo also added a second late on to take his tally to 11 in his last four games and finish the season with an astonishing 53 goals in all competitions.
Also, Adebayor did his hopes of securing a permanent move to Madrid no harm with a treble, while a Karim Benzema brace and a maiden goal for young substitute Joselu completed the scoring for Jose Mourinho's men. Almeria's goal came from Kalu Uche midway through the first half when his side were 2-0 down.
With Real certain to finish the season in second place and Almeria already down, all eyes were on Ronaldo to see if he could write his name into the history books. And there were just four minutes on the clock when the Portugal international achieved the feat. Xabi Alonso's free-kick to the far post was headed back across goal by Sergio Ramos, and the unmarked Ronaldo was on hand to poke in the opening goal of the game.
That set the tone for what would be another comprehensive victory for Madrid, who finished the season with 102 goals in La Liga - seven more than champions Barcelona. Mesut Ozil and Ronaldo both had openings before Adebayor made it 2-0 in the 31st minute. The on-loan Manchester City striker had been denied a great solo goal by Esteban Suarez moments previously, but he left the Almeria goalkeeper with no chance after latching on to a brilliant pass by Ozil before slotting in from close range.
It was not all one-way traffic early on however, and Almeria, who had gone close to taking the lead inside 20 seconds at the start of the game, pulled a goal back almost immediately. Real centre-back Pepe was unable to cut out Albert Crusat's deflected cross from the left, and Uche slid in at the far post to net past Jerzy Dudek, who was playing his final game for Los Merengues.
That looked to be only a minor setback for Real, especially when Benzema almost made it 3-1 soon after with an effort that Esteban tipped on to the bar, but Almeria gave the hosts another scare immediately after half-time when Miguel Angel Corona headed against the post.
However, there was only one team in it after that as Real moved up through the gears to leave Almeria just trying to limit the damage by the end. The Madrid heavyweights' third arrived soon after that Corona effort, when Benzema bundled his way through the heart of the Almeria defence before prodding home.
Two minutes after that it was 4-1 when Adebayor volleyed in the loose ball after Ronaldo, having skipped past Esteban, saw his goal-bound shot deflected onto the post by a covering defender. A brilliant Real move stretching from end of the pitch involving Ramos, Ronaldo and Adebayor then saw Benzema make it 5-1 in 63rd minute.
The floodgates were well and truly open by this stage and Adebayor and Ramos both went close with headers before the former completed his hat-trick in the 73rd minute from an Esteban Granero corner. Real's seventh arrived four minutes later through Ronaldo. The world's most expensive player picked up the ball on the halfway line and was allowed to progress unchallenged to the edge of the Almeria area, where he drilled a low shot into the far corner of the net.
Adebayor almost added another with an effort that hit the underside of the crossbar, before Real netted their eighth and final goal through Joselu. Ronaldo curled the ball into the area and the reserve-team youngster fired in as the capital team ended their first season under Mourinho in some style.

Cristiano: " If things don't improve we should just stay home and let Barcelona play by themselves"

Cristiano Ronaldo delivered the most withering put-down as theBarcelona-Real Madrid feud resumed on a stormy night at the Camp Nou. "Javier Mascherano wasn't like this at Liverpool. He must have learned all these cheating tricks at Barcelona," the Real striker said of his former rival from their Premier League days.
Real left Barcelona still trying to settle scores as Pep Guardiola's team progressed to the final at Wembley on 28 May. Ronaldo, who made his name at Manchester United, tangled with Mascherano often when the pair were in England and was sure to leave his mark on his old rival as Barça weighed up a probable clash with United after their 3-1 aggregate victory.
José Mourinho's side were upset by the disallowing of Gonzalo Higuaín's 47th-minute goal after Mascherano tumbled theatrically to the turf following contact from a falling Ronaldo, who himself had been tripped. That would have put Real 1-0 up on the night, and Xabi Alonso, who was also at Liverpool, said: "[Had] we scored the first goal it would have been totally different and we feel so many bad decisions have been made against us and we are not happy about that. We think we did a good job but decisions went against us, we really feel that way."
Warming to the theme Ronaldo said: "There was nothing wrong with the goal, that could have altered the course of the match but the referee didn't want to see it that way. Those who know about football know that Barcelona are very well protected. We just have to live with these injustices.
"We knew if we scored a goal they would do everything possible so we wouldn't get through. This isn't good for football. If things don't improve we should just stay home and let Barcelona play by themselves. Next year they should just give the cup directly to Barcelona."
Aitor Karanka, Mourinho's assistant, added: "If what happened the other day [in the first leg] hadn't happened – if Pepe hadn't been dismissed – we could have been there [in the final]."
Mourinho was serving a touchline ban following his sending-off in Madrid and is believed to have watched the game from his hotel room. "José was not on the bench, he couldn't get in the dressing room so I don't know where he's been," Karanka claimed. "He said congratulations to the team. He's outraged about what we've seen in the last few games. Madrid fans have seen the way the team is. When they let us play – we played, and we even won [in the Copa del Rey final]. We proved we can play the game. Every time we've been 11 versus 11 we've stood up to them. Everyone said it [Higuaín's] was a legal goal."
Guardiola twisted his own knife. "I want to congratulate Madrid for being so daring, playing face to face," he said. "I have an infinite gratitude to my players. We will go again to Wembley to try to win our fourth European Cup. Let's rest now and see if we can get the four points we need to win the league. Madrid have nine Champions League titles, they are the richest team in the world. We knew that. But we didn't lose our essence, except for the first 10 minutes of this second leg. The whole round has been intense and we're very satisfied with what we've done. We are a great club, a great institution, and now we want to close La Liga before the final step."
The four-game series ended with two draws and one win apiece, with Real taking the Spanish Cup but Barcelona seizing the much bigger prize of a Champions League final place. Uefa is expected to decide on Friday on a raft of disciplinary issues facing both clubs.
Not that Guardiola was ecstatic about appearing at the Football Association's expensive monument, the scene of his European Cup triumph as a Barcelona player. He said: "It would be better if we could go to the old Wembley, with the charisma it had."
